|
Post-season roster |
Post-season roster is set at the 144 game mark.
Aside from injuries any added players are not eligible for postseason play.
|
Injuries |
The first place team can deduct the number of playoff games that are played from any injuries that carry over into the postseason.
|
Pitching rotation |
You can go to a 4-man rotation in the postseason.
Excluded starter can only pitch in relief if his card lists him as a reliever.
If excluded starter does not indicate he can pitch in relief, he may relieve for 1 inning in each game. Must follow the relief pitchers rest rule.
The playoff teams must stay in rotation going into the playoffs.
e.g., if a pitcher starts the last regular season game he can't start again until playoffs game 4.
The playoffs winner must stay in rotation going into the world series.
The first place team can reset their rotation and start fresh going into the world series.
|
Relief Pitchers rest - postseason |
Postseason "travel days" count as a day of rest. If a relief pitcher pitches games 1 & 2, he is available for game 3.

Pitcher tired rule |
Starting in his "inning number" pitcher is tired if:
(1) he allows a total of 3 hits + walks IN an inning, OR
(2) he allows a total of 4 hits + walks over 2 consecutive innings.
EXAMPLE 1: starter (8): in the 8th inning if he allows 2 walks + 1 hit, he is tired
EXAMPLE 2: starter (8): in the 8th inning if he allows 2 walks AND in the 9th inning he allows 2 hits, he is tired
|
Stealing |
Catcher's ARM factors into ALL stolen base attempts
If HOLDING ON, subtract the following:
AAA (-1)
AA (-2)
A (-2)
B (-3)
C (-3)
D (-4)
E (-4)
|
Holding on / runner's running rating |
When a runner is being held on, SUBTRACT 1 from his running rating for all base running attempts.
|
Base running with 2 outs |
With 2 outs, ADD 1 to all base runners' running rating.
|
Flyball RF B |
Runner on 2nd base can attempt to tag up to 3rd.
Running rating *PLUS/MINUS* rightfielder's arm:
Safe at 3rd if within range.
Out at 3rd if ONLY 20 is picked.
Stays at 2nd base for all other split cards.
|
Flyball B? |
Runner's running *PLUS/MINUS* Outfielder's arm *PLUS* 2
|
Baserunner attempting to take extra base |
The fielding team has the option of attempting to throw out the lead runner OR to cutoff the throw,
If the attempt is made to throw out the runner, all trailing base runners* move up a base.
If the cutoff is made, the lead runner gets the base and all trailing base runners hold.
* The hitter does not count as a trailing base runner. He remains at his original base.
|
Bunting: bases loaded and infield in |
In this situation the hitter's bunting rating goes down 2.
For example, an A bunter becomes a C bunter.
|
Holding on with infield in |
If the infield is in you cannot hold a baserunner on.
|
E rolls |
When rolling a 2, use the result that appears on the while die (don't re-roll).
